Nine-Frame Analysis of Taken

The first frame in my nine frame analysis is a medium shot of Brian placing a
briefcase on a table. The actions within the shot are done with urgency from Brian to
enhance how the situation is quite a tense and thrilling moment for both Kim and
Brian.

The second frame is a shot of Kim as she looks across the courtyard into an opposite
window where her friend has just been taken. Her facial expressions are very
worried and the tone she speaks in is almost verging on terrified.
The 3rd frame in the sequence drags from the table to Brian on the phone. He asks
Kim a series of questions about the man she met at the airport named Peter, he asks
these questions through the next few frames and kind of rushes Kim to answer them
so that he can acquire the knowledge he needs to track her down.

The 4th frame shows Brian opening the briefcase to reveal a number of high tech
gadgets that act as an emergency kit for when serious situations come about. During
this frame Brian is still talking to Kim on the phone in order to gather as much
information as he can about her kidnappers.
The 5th frame zooms in on 2 Passports that are held together using an elastic band,
Brian then moves these out of the way and reveals a little package of money and
some sort of audio recording device.

The 6th frame shows Brian rooting through the briefcase whilst constantly talking to
Kim and asking her questions about he nationality and the overall profile of the man
who tipped her kidnappers off.
On the 7th Frame Brian the plugs a lead into the audio recording device. At this point
Kim is becoming increasingly more and more worried on the other end of the phone,
whilst Brian remains completely calm and focused on extracting information from his
daughter.

The 8th frame shows Kim for the first time in a few frames and again she looks
extremely scared that there are people here to kidnap her however she keeps the
phone to her ear at all times and trusts her father to help her out of the trouble
The 9th frame shows Brian connecting the other end of the lead to another piece of
equipment from the briefcase, this concludes my nine-frame analysis with Kim and
Brian still engaged in conversation.
