The Nisqually Reach Nature Center has provided environmental education and research for over 35 years. Their 140 citizen stewards collect data on forage fish and help monitor the Nisqually Reach Aquatic Reserve. Students learn both on the beach collecting data and in the classroom through programs on birds, nature trips to local beaches and parks, and an overnight trip to Mount Rainier National Park. The center collaborates with many local organizations, tribes, and agencies.
