Project
Description
CSS (Customer Service System) provides Customer Servicing
function for the National Grid organization. CSS provides residential,
commercial, industrial, service order, financial and retail access
services. CSS employs a Graphical User Interface (GUI) linked real-
time to customer and company asset data to facilitate handling of
customer requests and inquiries. The new CSS customer system is
now operational and will benefit Long Island (LI) customers with
enhanced features.
The CSS application consists of the four sub modules. These are
1) Billing
2) Finance
3) Orders
4) Tech
Role 1) Performed testing in Billing, Service orders, Supplier Services,
Credit Collections sectors.
2) Did COBOL code analysis on LI-GAS to CSS Migration project.
3) Successfully provided the work products (documents) and

NHD project provides the data transfer of the required company to
Liberty.
The functionality includes extraction of data of required company for
different service orders, generating report for them and testing it
against given requirement.
Role 1) Did coding in COBOL in mainframe and UNIX.
2) Unit and Integration Testing by submitting JCLs.
3) Analyzed the system for the impact with the client.
4) Created Component Designs for the impacted modules.
5) Enhancement & Development of the existing/new COBOL
