reduction in joint disease.
•Prophylaxis can prevent or reduce the risk of
intracranial hemorrhage.
•Long-term benefits include reduced chronic pain,
reduced need for orthopedic surgeries,
hospitalizations, and emergency room visits.
•All of the above leads to a better quality of life and
greater participation (i.e. regular attendance) in
educational, recreational and professional activities.
