This document discusses several patterns of inheritance that do not follow Mendel's laws: incomplete dominance where a heterozygote phenotype blends features of the homozygotes; codominance where both alleles are fully expressed in the heterozygote; sex determination including X-linked and Y-linked traits; and sex-linked traits that are inherited differently in males and females depending on which sex chromosome they are located.
