This slideshow is a great way to introduce students to different nonfiction text features - each slide includes the name and purpose of the text feature, as well as give a visual text feature example. The text features included are: title, title page, table of contents, index, glossary, map, diagram, bold print, italics, bullet points, fact box / sidebar, timeline These slides make a great student reference for 3rd grade, 4th grade, or 5th grade students. The posters can also help you address Common Core Standard RI 3.5.
