Noord-Brabant is a province in the south of the Netherlands, despite its name meaning "North Brabant". It has a large agricultural industry, particularly cows, pigs and chickens. The province is known for sports like motorcross and tractor pulling. The region of Eindhoven is considered the smartest region in the world due to its technical university and high-tech industry. A notable invention from the area is the variomatic continuously variable transmission.
