A review of improvements made by Burien to parks acquired from King County following the 2010 Annexation in North Burien.
Hazel Valley Park: Removed failing park signage; installed new signs.
Hazel Valley Park: Repaired and replaced cracked asphalt paths. Replaced old picnic tables and installed new tables and benches. Installed new concrete pads for picnic tables and benches.
Puget Sound Park: Removed failing park signage; installed new signs.
Puget Sound Park: Replaced old and broken tables and benches. Installed new concrete pads for picnic tables and benches. Expanded the playground footprint and installed new playground equipment. Improved ADA access into park.
Puget Sound Park: Replaced old and broken tables, benches and waste receptacles. Installed new concrete pads for picnic tables and benches. Added fresh gravel to pathway.
Arbor Lake Park: Repaired parking barriers; also removed vegetation and tree limbs to improve sightlines into the park and enhance security and safety. Uses Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design principles.
