Seminar invitation

Asset bubbles vs. undervalued opportunities
and a global economy overview

Time

Martin Hennecke, Chief Economist, The Henley Group Limited
Should you buy what you hate? We can learn from Sogos Thankful Week
Anyone who has been to Sogo during the sales knows that shoppers love to buy
at a discount. However, the vast majority of investors tend to think the opposite:
they like to buy assets that have risen and look nice on a past performance chart
regardless of value, while ignoring (if not despising) assets which have dropped
or underperformed in the past but may now be cheap. Martin will highlight some
currently liked and disliked assets with a view to identifying possible bubbles and
overlooked opportunities.

Date

Dr Jim Walker, Managing Director, Asianomics Limited
The storm after the calm
Jims presentation will be a rundown on global economies with a specific focus
on what is troubling in Europe, Japan, China and India. He will also discuss what
looks reasonably good in the US and Southeast Asia.
