What does it
take to be a
peak performer?
What does it take
to perform in the
face of adversity?
Sales is
hard.
You gotta put yourself out there.
- Ask for the meeting.
- Ask for the sale.
- Ask for the referral.
Getting rejected is
the worst.

&
Outside of our control
Peak Mindset = focus on what
you can control.
Thoughts, Actions, & Effort
3 Steps to a Peak Mindset
1. Identify what is holding you back.
2. Shift your focus to what matters.
3. Create an environment to win.
Goal setting is about
reaching a new level.
Goals and fears
go hand in hand.
NY Life Peak Performance
If there is a goal you havent
achieved yet, there is something
about it that scares you.
My Goal
To grow my business and be a
successful coach.
My Action
I need to promote myself and
do more sales/marketing.
My Biggest Fear
Im scared about what other
people would think of me.
Wasted Time
- Procrastinating
- Scrolling FB
Avoided doing the
real work.
Fear/Pain is associated to losing
something that we value.
-Love/Connection
- Time/Freedom
Love/Connection
If I do this people will judge me.
Time/Freedom
If I do this Ill have to work all
the time and have less time for
family, friends, and fun.
By taking this action it will cost
me something that I value.
Fear is our brains way of protecting
us from harm.
Fear based assumptions (story)
influences our actions.
Fear based
assumption
becomes our
default
mindset
What you value is greater than
your desire to reach your goal.
The trick is to shift that
balance.
Desire to win > Fear of losing
Step 1. Identify what is holding
you back.
1. What is a goal you have not
achieved yet?
2. What is an action you are not
taking?
3. What scares you about taking that
action?

Mindset
Two Forces That Motivate You
Pain & Pleasure
People do things to avoid pain
and gain pleasure.
I didnt put myself out there
because I wanted to avoid the
pain of judgement/rejection.
My desire to avoid feeling pain
was greater than my desire to
feel the pleasure of growing my
business.
But pain has a
tipping point.
The pain of hitting rock bottom
will light a fire under your ass.
When I realized I was letting
this fear stop me I had the
awareness I needed to start to
make a change.
I saw how much I was holding
myself back from achieving my
goals.
This awareness led to me ask
the right questions to get
unstuck.
I started to promote my blog,
reach out to my network, talk
about what I was doing, and
clients started coming to me.
The shift happens when you
associate massive pain to not
taking action and massive
pleasure to take action.
Step 2. Shift your focus to what
matters.
Questions to turn up the pain:
1. What is it costing you to not achieve your goal?
2. How is it impacting you financially, emotionally,
and socially?
3. How would you feel a year from now if nothing
improved?
Questions to turn up the pleasure:
1. How will achieving your goal make you feel?
2. How will it improve your life financially,
emotionally, and socially?
3. What will it mean for your loved ones?
4. Why is it important to you?
Step 3. Create an environment
to win
Create a 30 day Goal: ___________________
What measurable actions will you take and by when?
1.______________________
2.______________________
3.______________________
*Add these steps to your calendar.
What will you stop doing?
1.______________________
2.______________________
3.______________________
Accountability Structure
1. Who will hold you accountable?
______________________
2. How will they know you complete your action
steps?
______________________

the fear

what, why, and how

In the end we only regret the chances we didnt
