The oba brand collaborated with dra/wn label to create the Prepared & Embraced collection for autumn/winter 2013. The thought-provoking collection of overcoats was inspired by influential women like Anne Frank, Louise Bourgeois, and Susan Sontag. It weaves emotional dialogue into the designs as a reflection on how people respond to mortality. The collection features overcoats in various colors and fabrics for each of the women.

The thought provoking collection of overcoats is an inaugural design collaboration which combines the creative forces of both oba and the artisan designer label dra/wn. Prepared & Embraced, inspired by Anne Frank, Louise Bourgeois, Mother Teresa, Emily Dickinson, Eileen Chang, Frida Kahlo, Julia Child, the Soong Sisters and Susan Sontag, is a collection that weaves emotional dialogue into a material response to the ways in which people respond to their own mortality. 3
