The October 2011 monthly report from the Boiling Springs High School Library Media Center provided the following information:
- The Bulldog Booklovers Club meeting had 26 students and two adults attend to discuss upcoming reading initiatives and book titles.
- Many classes visited the library and computer rooms in October for research projects, including English, business, foreign language, guidance, math, science, social studies, and special education.
- Over 6,400 student visits to the library occurred in October, most of which were with classes. Circulation totals were over 1,900 items checked out.
- The National Art Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony in the media center on October 3rd.

October2011 Keith, sponsors of the NAHS, held the annual induction
ceremony in the media center. After the ceremony, the
Library Highlights students and teachers enjoyed refreshments.

17thTwenty-six students and two adults attended our
third meeting this year. Members were reminded
about the new READissance initiative (prize: Color
Nook and B&N $50 gift card) and the titles for our next
meeting
were announced ( Divergent byVeronica Roth and
Purple Heart by Patricia McCormick). We broke into
two groups to discuss Once a Witch and Miss
Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children.
Tis the Season Fall? No, although it IS all about
turning leaves (well, pages in books). October always
brings with it classes doing research. Mrs. Hames,
Mrs. Young, Mr. Turner, Mrs. Sater, Mrs. Dillard, Mrs.
Clark, Mrs. Broome, and Mr. Hauser all brought their
students to the media center this month.
