The two fish markets in town have sanitation issues. The market near the bus stop manages fish waste poorly, while the second market called Ongole fish market has no proper stalls, toilets, or water facilities. Both water bodies in town, a canal and pond, are not maintained well and experience open defecation. An inventory of school toilets needs to be developed to identify working and non-working facilities along with existing sanitation practices and legal provisions for sanitation in schools.
