The first day will include an early recess and lunch period, and students should bring a healthy snack. Dear 4th
Graders and Families,
Welcome to a new school year! I can¡¯t wait to meet all of my students and
get to work. We have a great year ahead of us.
To stay up to date with happenings in our classroom, check out our class
blog (classroom209.blogspot.com). It contains helpful links, videos, presentations,
homework assignments, the class schedule, and more.
Here are a few important things to know for the first day:
1. Recess and Lunch is late- 1:00-1:35 and recess is first. Bring a healthy
snack for our daily snack break at 11:30- water bottles are welcome, too.
2. Planners are used daily. They go home each night and come back to school
each morning. Please check it each day for assignments and
announcements. It should return to school signed by a parent each day.
I hope you all had a great summer! I kept busy teaching a summer math
class and coaching my two sons¡¯ and their baseball teams, along with spending a
lot of time with my wife and daughter. It was a fantastic summer.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you and having an excellent school
year.
Sincerely,
Mr. O¡¯Brien
