Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching and learning materials that reside in the public domain or have been released under an open license that allows free access, use, adaptation, and redistribution with few or no restrictions. OER include materials in any medium, digital or non-digital. Effective OER practices (OEP) incorporate openness in all aspects of instructional design and delivery, including learning outcomes, teaching resources, activities and assessments, while engaging both faculty and students in using and creating OER.
