The Ordnance Factories Institute of Learning, Dehradun (OFILDD) is located 8 km from the Dehradun Railway Station and 15 km from the ISBT Dehradun bus station, surrounded by hills. It has been functioning since 1987 as a training institute for Group B and C employees of Indian Ordnance Factories. OFILDD provides training in optics, opto-electronics, IT, civil engineering, cable technology, as well as general courses in administration, quality management, and environmental management. It has classrooms, a hostel, library, and IT center to support its educational activities.

Ordnance Factories Institute of Learning, Dehradun( OFILDD) is situated in Raipur, Dehradun district approx. 8 Kms from Railway Station and 15 Kms from ISBT Dehradun, admidst thick greenery of hills around the complex of Ordnance Factory Estate. Dehradun is one of the most picturesque valleys surrounded by the Himalayan Range in the north and Shivalik hills in the south. Ordnance Factories Institute of Learning Dehradun started functioning since 1987 in diffrent names. It is the training institute for the Group B (Gazetted/Non Gazetted) and Group C employees of Indian Ordnance Factories and Allied Establishments. OFIL Dehradun has core competency in Optics & Opto-Electronics, Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Cable Technology. OFIL Dehradun also conduct general courses on Administration, Quality management system, Environmental Management System etc. OFILDD is awarded best OFIL Shield by Chairman, OFB Kolkata in 2004 and 2007. Class Rooms- OFILDD has four well furnished Class Rooms equipped With all modern teaching aids. Hostel Facilities 鐃 OFILDD Hostel at the end of Ordnance Factory Dehradun estate. Hostel is near to main building of OFILDD. It is a two storied building with 4 bedded rooms with common utilities. The hostel is also equiped with modern 12 station Gymnasium. Library facilities- The library has a stock of more than 2000 books on various Subjects. Viz. Science and technology, Management, Industrial, Engineering, HRD, Environment and Pollution Control, Computers, Quality Management System, History, Culture, Biographies of eminent personalities, govt. rules and procedure, Industrial Acts etc. Variety of Journals and daily news papers in Hindi, English are available in Library. Information Technology Centre-The ITC of OFILDD is well equipped with Pentium IV PCs with TFT monitors and has a capacity of providing Practical Training to 40 Participants at a time in two Computer Lab. OFIL Dehradun has now access to various ordnance factories through COMNET.
