This orientation for HAVAR covers several sections over multiple days. The agenda includes an overview of HAVAR's history, goals, services, policies, rights and safety procedures. Trainees will complete readings and homework assignments between sections. Topics to be discussed are HAVAR's mission and values, programs and services, funding sources, rights of individuals, and people-first language. The orientation aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to HAVAR for new staff and volunteers.
