An overview of Georgia-based nonprofit Adventures In Missions, a short-term missions organization that mobilizes young Christians to travel all over the world to serve the poor in the name of Jesus.

History of Adventures In Missions Founded in 1989 by Seth Barnes in a small garage office 1992 over 1,000 people join AIM on summer mission trips Today over 80,000 people sent out on short-term mission trips since 1989
Where we go over 80,000 participants sent out 70+ countries 20 years
The Vision To raise up a generation of radically committed disciples of Christ Change lives the way Jesus did through a focus on discipleship Listening for Gods direction in our work among the poorest of the poor
Youth Group Trips We came into the trip expecting to help others, but we never realized how much we would actually get out of it.
Youth Group Trips Trips ranging from 3 days up to 2 weeks Assessment of group needs Pre-trip training and materials Complete trip management, allowing leaders to focus on discipleship of participants Debrief of the trip experience Follow-up ministry
Adult and Family Trips Id read the statistics. But then I traveled to Swaziland and I held a statistic and talked to a statisticIt was totally different.

Ambassadors During my daughters time with AIM, she learned to pray and be contentShe came back loving God, those in need, and her family in a bigger and deeper way.
Ambassadors Ages 14-18 Trips ranging from 2 to 4 weeks Designed as an exposure to awaken teens to the concept of calling and discipleship
Real Life I know that I am ruined for doing anything other than reaching out to the hurt and the lost of this world.
Real Life Ages 18-22 Trips ranging from 1 to 3 months Designed to take young adults further in their growth with God
The World Race is about saving me. Saving me from a life of complacency. Im starting to find the true person that God created in me.
The World Race Ages 21-35 11 month trip to 11 countries Uses adventure and pilgrimage to initiate young adults into a Kingdom-minded life
Disaster Relief There is a space to fill. Theres an open window for us as the Church to go and fill that space. I can feel the holy anticipation in my spirit whenever I think about Haiti.

The AIM Difference To succeed, we must constantly attempt things which are doomed to fail without God.
