The Lowcountry Oyster Festival is held annually in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. While the festival celebrates food, friends, and fun, parked cars can disrupt nearby neighborhoods. Attendees are encouraged to use three complimentary off-site parking locations, from which a shuttle will continuously transport people to and from the festival entrance. The off-site parking options are at J.B. Edwards Elementary School, Laing Middle School, and East Cooper Regional Medical Center.

The Folly Beach Business Association is hosting the annual Folly Beach "Bill-Murray Look-a-Like" Polar Bear Plunge on Folly Beach, SC. Decorated beds will parade through the park at noon, with racing starting at 1pm in a time trial format. Awards will be given in categories like Fastest Bed and Best Decorated Bed.
