The Providence Spring Elementary PTA is sponsoring an event to discuss the CMS budget crisis and its potential impact on students. Guest speakers including the Executive Director of MeckEd, a Board of Education member, and the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners will provide a question and answer session about how the CMS budget process works and how the community can advocate for education budget priorities. The event will be held on March 23rd from 7-8:30 pm at Providence Spring Elementary to help inform and involve parents on budget decisions that will affect their children's education.

CMS BUDGET CRISIS:
WHAT IS AT STAKE and WHAT CAN YOU DO?
State and local public school funding decisions will be made with
or without your input. The consequences of these decisions will
have a significant impact on your child’s day-to-day life next
year, and a potential long term impact on your child’s education
and future opportunities. Learn how we as a community can
understand the budget process and in turn impact local and state
government budget priorities.
