Day 1 (9 March 2012)
We assembled at the hall at 7.30 a.m.. I was like a cat on
a hot tin roof, waiting anxiously for the event to begin. After
singing our national anthem and took our pledge, Ms Lim
spoke to us. Then, Mr Derek Lee gave the opening speech
before our camp Commandant Mr Ang spoke to us about the
camp rules and distributed the camp booklets. At about 8.40
a.m, we had recess. Then, we had Team Building Activities I.
We played a few games in various classes The Flying
Carpet, Pass the Message, Minesweeper, etc. Every
teambuilding game we pass, we get a clue to this question:

WANTED !
After that, we had lunch at 12 noon. Then, we went to ISH 1
(Indoor Sports Hall 1) for Field Cooking. We cooked Maggi
Noodles. Mouth-watering aroma of the noodles filled my nose.
Until then, I hadnt realized how hungry I was. After the noodles
was cooked, I gobbled it up. Cooking Maggi Noodles wasnt very
hard. Then, we headed to the ISH 2 for tent pitching. There, Mr
Jason Lau taught us how to pitch a tent and dismantle it. At last,
after much difficulty, we pitched a tent. We took some pictures
and were very proud of ourselves as we had done tent pitching
successfully. I felt like I was on the top of the world but it didnt
last long as it was time to dismantle the tent. I had never tried
tent-pitching before so it was a new experience for me.We had a
tea break at 1545 (3.45 p.m). We went to the MPH to practice our
cheers. We then went to the washroom to shower. After that, we
ate dinner before going to the Parade Square for campfire.A
group of scouts started the camp fire. Every class presented at
4. least 1 cheer. Class 4/3 had 2 cheers. We also sang many cheers
which were in the camp booklet. Loud cheers burst out.The bright,
pulsating fire saved us from sleep. It was one of the biggest
moments I was waiting for! Then, we went back to the canteen for
supper. After that, we brushed our teeth and washed up. We
watched a part of the movie, Despicable me!Then, at 11p.m., we
crawled into our sleeping bags and slept.
Day 2 (10 March 2012)
We woke up at 6 a.m. on 10 March. I slugged out of my
sleeping bag and went downstairs to brush my teeth. After
brushing my teeth, we wentto the Parade Square for Morning
Exercise. It was quite tiring. We then went to the canteen to have
our breakfast. We had to clean the canteen before we packed our
bags and went to the hall for Prize Presentation and Camp debrief.
It was a wonderful experience and I hope to participate in the
camp next yearas well. It was Home Sweet Home.
