The document provides instructions for an e-learning activity where students work in groups to research and share information about the springbok, the national animal of South Africa. Students are told to share what they know about springboks, questions they have, and then research answers by assigning questions to individual group members. The recorder is responsible for completing a KWL chart with the group's information and emailing it to their science teacher.

national animal of South Africa and share
them with the other explorers.
2. Getting ready…
• Always `move’ around in groups of 4.
• Ensure each member in the team contributes ideas.
Roles and responsibilities
• Recorder : Member whose index number is the smallest in the team
-to present group’s findings using a KWL chart and email to your Science teacher
- refer to KWL chart given
• Motivator : Member whose index number is the biggest in the team
-to use the Social Learning Wall to motivate members who are not sharing
to share his/her information
4. • In your group created in MCOnline Social
Learning Wall, share what you know about
springbok.
• Each member should contribute at least one
piece of information.
5. • In your group created in MCOnline
Social Learning Wall, share what you

Can it run faster than a cheetah?
6. • After all members have contributed to
`What-we-want-to-know’, decide as a
group, the top 4 questions which your group would
like to do a research on to gather information
-you may use the Social Learning Wall to discuss,
give reasons why you decide on certain questions
• Remember to choose 4 questions and assign 1
question to 1 member
7. • You should spend about 20 minutes
searching for information.
• Arrange a time to meet again in Social Learning Wall
to share the information you have found
Search hints: Do your research on internet search
*to gather information on diet, type `springbok+diet’
8. Welcome back at Social Learning Wall!
• Share what you have found out
