Physical Activity and Nutritional habits for families  Aquatic   Educational   Programme
Development - Physical activity programme (6-12 yrs) in the water (60 sessions) -Place of practice: 2 public pools -Disclosure of content, diet, nutrition and labelling (3 information forms) -Proposal of exercising as a family (26 days) -Monitoring (7 key indicators )
General Objectives 1- Promote the habit of practicing physical activity among children 2-Informing about the aspects of a healthy diet  3-Involve families in the physical practice of their children
Timing Phase 1: March-August 2008 Elaboration of activity programme to be developed and design evaluation tests Editing of the information forms (diet and nutrition) Organisation plan to use the pools Training of the technical staff Phase 2: September 2008-June 2009 Promotion of the activity Registration of participants Development of the programme -3 trimesters-. Phase 3: July-October 2009 Evaluation: indicators ( monitoring ) Conclusions and valuations

Example of evaluation Dives: Dive in the shallow end of the pool Start to dive in the deeper end of the pool Dive in the deep end of the pool Jumps: Jumps from different positions Jumps from different positions with momentum Jumps from different positions with momentum, height and length  Test in the deep end of the pool: Jump into the pool with a float from a height of 50cm  Once in the water dive to the bottom of the pool to pick up an object

Proposal of activity with the family - proposal content: free use of the pool space -frequency (every Saturday) -attendance (trimester evaluation)
Aquatic skills: 8879% of the students improved (by age) Cognitive / Affective  : 2780% of the students improved (by age) Indicator 4:Technical assessments
Indicator 5: questionnaires   Before and after tests were carried out with relation to the information forms. 32% of the families said that they had improved their eating habits. 27% of families said that they read the labelling when it came to choosing food products.
Indicator 6: Free activity(Saturdays ) The free use of the pool for the participants and their parents. 1st trimester: 15% 2nd trimester: 21% 3rd trimester: 37%
Indicator 7: Final evaluation of the activity The families answered the satisfaction questionnaire: 96% of the families said that they were satisfied with the activity 86% said that they would repeat the activity The average valuation of the activity on behalf of the parents was 821/10
Conclusions and improvements  to be made Good feedback from the partners, families, participants and entities Internationalism  - Improve the family activities - Ways of promoting the activity:web site, social network - Improve medical test (bmi, physical exam ...)
