What we do
Launched in 2000, Carter Murray is a genuinely niche boutique that recruits client side marketing, communications and
business development specialists across the Commerce & Industry, Financial and Professional Services sectors.
We work in partnership with clients to deliver the highest quality
service and expertise in a very specialised, creative and digitally
driven marketplace. In addition to our full consulting service,
including recruitment strategy, job specification, salaries and
market intelligence; Carter Murray offers clients the choice of
network/database search, advertised selection, executive search or
a combination of the three to best meet your needs.
Our search methodology is underpinned by our use of in-house
research teams, allowing us to delve more deeply into the market
when identifying suitable candidates for an assignment.

been a Marketing Communications Manager for global leadership experts, Xinfu, who coach and develop FTSE 250
CEOs in China and the UK. Sally-Anne joined Carter Murray to launch our Commerce and Industry sector offering,
with particular focus on the ever increasing demand for Digital Marketing.

Finn is a self-confessed digital marketing geek, with a background in technology recruitment for digital marketing
agencies. Quite the sportsman, Finn competed previously as a professional footballer and currently trains in mixed
martial arts.

TALENT SOURCING & SCREENING
Talent sourced through our varied candidate attraction
strategies are benchmarked against each other and
telephone screened to be shortlisted for an initial face
to face interview with Carter Murray.
PRESUBMISSION INTERVIEWING & SHORTLISTING
Our team are skilled interviewers and assessors with
professional backgrounds in marketing, psychology,
and recruitment which we leverage to fully investigate
and refine the most suitable candidates for you and
your team.
PROFILING & CV SUBMISSIONS
Final CVs, along with our straight talking synopsis
of each candidate, are then submitted to you for
consideration and first round client interviews.
CLIENT INTERVIEW COORDINATION
We coordinate the interview schedule on your behalf,
ensuring that candidates are fully prepared with pre-
interview briefing information. Following the interview
with you, we gain and provide constructive feedback
both ways and ensure that the interest of the preferred
candidates is maintained and managed.
OFFER MANAGEMENT
We work closely with you to facilitate any negotiations
that materialise concerning salary and other details
of the remuneration package. Once an offer has been
accepted we will liaise closely with the successful
candidate to ensure that his or her resignation from
their current position proceeds smoothly.
We promote a transparent and straight talking process.
We’ll assess what other options the candidates are
considering, if any, and manage the process of securing
your preferred candidate as much as possible.
ON BOARDING
The first few months are crucial in any new team. We
are ambassadors for our clients, ensuring the best
possible new starter experience. We help provide two
way feedback, offer support and encouragement to
