- 1. 1 PAMPOROVO SKIING TRIP Pamporovo ski resort is located 85 km from Plovdiv and 240 km from Sofia. The resort is situated on 1650 m above the sea level in the Rhodopi mountain at the foot of Snejanka peak (1926 m). Pamporovo ski resort is located in the heart of the Rhodopi mountain. It is the sunniest Bulgarian mountain resort. The ski slopes of Pamporovo are safe guarded and maintained in a very good condition. The gentle profile of the mountain with its rounded slopes and summits makes Pamporovo suitable for beginners. But there are difficult ski runs like "The Wall" for the advanced skiers. You can rent ski equipment (skis, bindings, boots, and poles) with a special discount for between 10-15 leva per day (they normally cost between 25 and 30 leva per day). Also, you will have a discount on the ski pass for the lift, which will be between 20 and 25 leva for half a day. There is also an option to hire a ski teacher with a big discount for groups.
