A child wrote a letter to their favorite soldier stationed at Fort Hood expressing that they miss and love the soldier. The child attended a family night event where they read a book called "A Paper Hug" and made their own paper hug to send to the soldier. The child wants the soldier to keep the paper hug in their pocket until they return home as a way for the child to hug the soldier from far away.

We read a book called A Paper Hug and I made my very own hug for you!<br />I miss you and I love you!<br />Your Favorite Kid<br />When youre feeling lonely<br />And you need a little lift <br />Wrap these hands of mine around you<br />And youll feel my special gift.<br />I know youre far away<br />And I know youll need a hug.<br />Until youre home one day<br />These hands will keep you snug.<br />Tuck them in your pocket<br />And keep them til youre through.<br />I love you oh so much,<br />So heres a hug from me to you!<br />
