Park & Share is a company started by four young entrepreneurs to address the difficulties of parking and transportation in cities. They developed a platform that allows members to rent out their parking spaces or cars to other members, creating a large community. While convincing investors was difficult initially, partnering with an investor from one of the founder's internships and gaining IKEA as their first customer helped the business grow. The founders aim to provide an innovative alternative for urban transportation by facilitating cooperation between users.

¡°Make your travel easier with Park & Share¡± *
* *The company Park & Share is the result of years worth of work and dedication. We are four young entrepreneurs of different backgrounds, but similar objectives. * The idea came one day at work. * Convincing investors and its difficulties.
* The company Park&Share is the result of years worth of work and dedication. We are four young entrepreneurs of different backgrounds but similar objectives. * We had the idea, more than a year ago. We already knew each other at the time and all four of us were employees. Although we had always dreamed of creating our own businesses, we were forced to make a living to ensure we could get through our studies. It was a poor time financially talking, we all had a great variety of loans on our backs. * I went every day to work by car and my office was in a fairly busy area. The parking lot was still very expensive, even if it was less than you could find elsewhere in the city . One morning, I heard one of the employees ask the boss if she could take time off to visit an apartment, which he was fine with, on the condition that she would be back as quick as possible. Except that this girl had no car, she then asked everyone in the company if we could lend our car and she was willing to pay. I looked at my car keys on my desk, placed next to my empty wallet, and that¡¯s how the idea that would forever change my life came to me. * The company began to take shape, but it was not always that simple. Although the idea was clear to us, it seemed less convincing to potential investors. Many banks refused to lend 250 000 euros to three young business school graduates. We finally convinced an Indian investor, who actually was a Partner in the company where I executed my last internship, which is where we all realised that a good network is always useful in the workplace! Mr Homan currently holds 33% of the Park&Share shares, however it does not give him any visibility into our business; as we always want to stay in control of our own business. The other difficulty that we have been through in the last few months was being able to convince companies to create a Park&Share zone in their private parking lots. SMEs were not convinced at first, until, Ikea finally recognized our potential and accepted our concept and from here on in, new business propositions were pouring in. * Park&Share was born, our dream came true. *
