Here are 5 sentences in the active voice changed to the passive voice: 1. Active: The students study English every day. Passive: English is studied by the students every day. 2. Active: She bakes cookies for the party. Passive: Cookies are being baked for the party by her. 3. Active: They build a new school. Passive: A new school is being built by them. 4. Active: I wash the dishes. Passive: The dishes are washed by me. 5. Active: He drives a red car. Passive: A red car is driven by him.

The verb to be takes the tense of the verb in the active voice. Oswald..the president.(to kill) The president. by oswald.(to be killed) killed Was killed
The passive voice is used when the focus is on the action. It is not important who or what is performing the action, but the action itself is important.
The street is cleaned. The house is built.

The students clean the classroom . Our classroom is cleaned.
The cat was drawn by Brad. Brad drew the cat.
Hossein is making tea. Tea is being made by Hossein.
The mice are carrying the cake. The cake is being carried by the mice.
The children were playing football. Football was being played by the children

He should see a doctor. A doctor should be seen.
He will eat pizza. Pizza will be eaten.
By 2:00 they will have eaten couscous. Couscous will have been eaten by 2:00.
