added to the past tense of the verb to
form the past perfect?
The past perfect tense shows that an
action is completed in the past before
another happened.
Look at the words added to had. The
past tense of verbs is changed to the
past participle form.
Past participle of verbs expresses
completed action and that is one of the
principal parts of the verb.
Take a look at the list of verbs, their
past participle form, and the past
perfect form.
