Patrick Star is an unemployed pink starfish who lives in Bikini Bottom. He has oval eyes, thick eyebrows, and wears green and purple flowered swim trunks without any hair. While Patrick doesn't say much, what he does say tends to be unintelligent and useless. Squidward thinks Patrick is unintelligent and a moron, but Spongebob has been his best friend since birth and enjoys doing everything with him.
