By rapid demographic changes, also the tendency of older people are changing.
We defined them as `Active Ager¨.
They are denying their aging and weakness. They constantly find the wats to live healthier,
more beautiful lives. Accordingly, we researched their symptoms that appear gradually in
people over their 50s and the activities necessary to prevent them.
In 2030, people in 50s and older are no longer senior citizens.
They are `Active Agers¨

We focused on how active ager could exercise in
everyday life. We designed the house to use flex-
ible to be suitable for exercise by utilizing the
rooms of common houses such as gardens, stairs
and tatami room.
18. Flexible Rooms
depending
by users
The rooms in the house we designed are not settled by designer.
The user could renovate a space for themselves.
Compared to the first floor, which has necessary rooms,
the second floor is a private space. Considering every
user have different lifestyle, users can renovate the
rooms for various ways to utilize the space.
20. Flexible Rooms
depending
by users
By having wheel on the ceiling,
we can make sliding doors that can also worked as a wall.
Each side has diffent materials so that we can utilize by the
uses for the rooms.
21. The idea that we came up with is making an aging
house. It means that a home for middle-aged people
also can be a home for older people. The home will be
adapted to the user. by making a condition that allows
them to move easily in their daily lives, We can motivate
residents to exercise.
Function
23. Stairs
considering
activity and safety
As over 50s get older, their walking distance varies depending on your physical
changes. Therefore, stairs were designed to enhance safety with the function of health.
We installed stairs for efficienty of space using and more movement in user¨s daily lives.
25. Stairs
considering
activity and safety
1 step
7W LED
/ 30sec.
Therefore, 1foorstep makes about 7watt of light so that
14steps can make 90watt of light energy. We have LED
sensor on stair that is working by converted light energy.
We installed the system that
kinetic energy converted into light energy.
27. Stairs
considering
activity and safety
When the users use this stair, kinetic energy generates.
We installed the system that kinetic energy converted into light energy.
By generated energy, Led Seonsor worked at night
so that user can move more safe.
28. 1. Reducing pressure to the knee
2. Stabilizing the body when the elderly are climbing
3. Diagnosing the body condition
Handle
diagnosing
physical conditions
We installed handle sensor to diagnose physical conditions.
While the users are going up, users can used this sensor and
can check by smartphone application.

29. Application
for diagnose and prevent
personal physical conditions
OSAKA GAS
Many elderly people don¨t like to go to the hospital.
But even the small data on the body can be a great
help to the elderly people.
How can we check the elderly¨s health data
more conveniently?
Osaka Gas Health Care Application
All the information recognized by sensor interlocked with this application.
30. To stay healthy,
a steady diagnosis and
management is needed.

The amount of energy accumulated
through energy generators can also be seen.
It is easy to make emergency calls
using the application.
33. Expectation
The effect that we're expecting is that we don't have to
move beyond 50. This eliminates the inconvenience of
adapting to a new home and is responsible for the rest
of your life. In addition, multi-layered houses are availa-
ble in a three-dimensional way.
