1) Jammu and Kashmir has a population of over 12.5 million people, most of whom are Muslim. 2) 30% of the region of Jammu and Kashmir is under Pakistani control and has seen less than 10% development, while 10% is under Chinese control with less than 30% development. 3) Some strategies proposed for bringing peace to Jammu and Kashmir include controlling negative media reporting, providing zero-interest loans for organic farming to engage youth, improving connectivity and tourism between the region and the rest of India, and increasing education opportunities for Muslim women.
