 Penultimate is one of the first
  note taking apps available for
  the iPad.

 It works in portrait mode only.

 You can write notes with your
  finger or a stylus.

 Clicking the pen icon allows
  you to change colors and line
  weights.
Penultimate


 With the eraser tool you can
  erase a single letter or an
  entire section of text.

 With the scissor tool you can
  draw around what you want
  to cut.

 Tapping inside the shape
  brings up a Cut/Copy menu.

 The tool icons at the top will
  allow for various changes.

 The paper icon can change
  the lines or layout of the
  paper used.

 The Storyboard paper layout
  may be useful in the
  classroom for writing
  activities.

 You can also add pictures to
  your notes from the library or
  the camera.

 The camera can snap quick
  shots of PPTs on a screen,
  handouts, or meeting
  attendees.

 The gear icon allows for
  changes in functionality

 If you want to protect the
  screen from causing lines by
  resting your wrist on the
  screen, you can turn on wrist
  protection. It can be set for
  both right and left handed
  people.

 If you choose Include Paper
  Design, then the lines will
  show up when you share or
  print the document.

  feature
