Penultimate is a note taking app for the iPad that allows users to write notes with their finger or stylus across different paper layouts and colors. It also allows users to insert pictures, change writing tools, cut or copy sections of text, and customize app settings. The app works only in portrait mode and provides help documentation that is accessible through the iPad's Safari browser.

- 2. Penultimate Penultimate is one of the first note taking apps available for the iPad. It works in portrait mode only.
- 3. Penultimate You can write notes with your finger or a stylus.
- 4. Penultimate Clicking the pen icon allows you to change colors and line weights.
- 5. Penultimate With the eraser tool you can erase a single letter or an entire section of text.
- 6. Penultimate With the scissor tool you can draw around what you want to cut.
- 7. Penultimate Tapping inside the shape brings up a Cut/Copy menu.
- 8. Penultimate The tool icons at the top will allow for various changes. The paper icon can change the lines or layout of the paper used.
- 9. Penultimate The Storyboard paper layout may be useful in the classroom for writing activities.
- 10. Penultimate You can also add pictures to your notes from the library or the camera. The camera can snap quick shots of PPTs on a screen, handouts, or meeting attendees.

- 12. Penultimate If you want to protect the screen from causing lines by resting your wrist on the screen, you can turn on wrist protection. It can be set for both right and left handed people.
