PGC Consult provides talent acquisition services across multiple markets. One case study involved a leading UK printer that needed to consolidate operations by closing one plant and transferring assets and skills to two other sites. An interim project manager was hired to implement best practices for the trouble-free closure of one site and effective transfer of operations to the other sites. The project was completed on time and under budget, with potential additional savings from the sale of a printing press that had been scheduled for scrapping.

The Assignment A professional Interim project manager was identified to review and revise the programme and then implement class-leading practices that would ensure the trouble free, effective, closure of one site, and equally effective transfer of operations to the other sites. The Interim quickly implemented project monitoring and reporting procedures across the three sites, acted as “Prime Contractor” for the equipment move and strip out at the site to be cleared, and coordinated activity outsourcing of work during the transfer period. pgc.co.uk
