Stephen Hoogendijk introduced himself as a proud Phalcon user since 2012 and Ubuntu package maintainer. He discussed that Phalcon is fast with a small memory footprint and easy to learn, but has a tiny community and relatively slow release cycles. While once very fast, Phalcon is no longer necessarily the fastest option and some design flaws from version 2.0 remain. Stephen noted issues with modularity in some Phalcon components like the ORM and routing. He closed by asking about the future of Phalcon.
