The document discusses different perspectives on design from several architects and designers. It provides quotes that define design as sheltering and stimulating people, embodying ideas common to its intended users, and requiring an understanding of the site and people using a building. Another quote describes design as putting form and content together in various ways, and that it is complicated because it is so simple. The final perspective is that design means satisfying requirements, seeing things from the perspective of the user, and trying to achieve the best outcome. Design is a challenging task because it impacts how people live and its quality reflects on the designer. Effective design requires understanding needs and solving problems well.

All architecture is shelter, all great
architecture is the design of space that
contains, cuddles, exalts, or stimulates
the persons in that space.

No Design works unless it embodies
ideas that are held common by the people
for whom the object is intended

DESIGN?
"Design is the method of putting form and content together.
Design, just as art, has multiple definitions: there is no single
definition. Design can be art. Design can aesthetics. Design is
so simple, that's why it is so complicated."
Design is everything. Everything!

2. Design? Design for me, is meaningless without a
satisfaction of completing what the requirement
given is.
Design is putting yourself at a position of whom it is
designed for, and seeing things the way that person
sees it. It is to try and accomplish what the other
person wants.
Design is achieving, or at least trying to achieve the
best.
Designing is the most challenging task, because your
design is what you are known for, and as an
architect, peoples way of living, comfort and safety is
dependent on you.
It is all about, how well you can understand what is
needed and how well you can solve the issue.
