A simulation was conducted to test the load of 400 concurrent users across 25 rooms with 16 players each. The server had a quad-core processor, 8GB RAM, and Windows 7 and handled 4,500 incoming messages per second and 65,000 outgoing messages per second at 30% CPU usage. Based on the simulation of 8MB/s of traffic over 30 days, the estimated monthly traffic was around 10TB. The estimated cost of the server hardware, operating system, and traffic was $400, with a cost of around $1 per concurrent user and 1 cent per monthly active user.
