Description of Duties:
Update, maintain and reconcile Units stores inventories electronically (for expendable; non-expendable items) and in hard
copy on a daily basis. Process receipt, issue, return, stores requests and discrepancy report documentation in a timely
manner and enter records into the logistics database. Prepare and provide information regarding inventory at any given
notice. Assist with maintaining inventory of Battalion and Workshops. Maintain functional files and reference library. Handle
and account for petty cash and Imprest Account. Conduct monthly monitoring and verification (stock takes) of inventories and
provide update reports to Field Depot. Maintain Stores records accurately. Monitor inter-Battalion stores movements. Prepare
and advise on, the Loss and Damage reports and implement correct process for dealing with lost or damaged equipment.
Assist with the preparation of Receipt and Inspection reports for newly procured equipment. Suggest improvements for
rationalizing and streamlining Log issues at regional and Battalion level. Maintain a Stationery and Expendables Store with up
to date records. Assist with the preparation of documents to justify requirements for Goods, Works and Services. Assist with
preparation of information for regional and procurement budgets. Assist with Procurement and Transport Log issues.
Supervise the safe loading and unloading of stores/vehicles. Coordinate and performs a range of staff and operational support
activities for the unit, serves as a liaison with other departments and operating units in the resolution of day-today
administrative and operational problems. Provides administrative/secretarial support for the department such as answering
telephones, assisting visitors, correspondence and resolving and referring a range of administrative problems and inquiries.
Perform any other tasks related to the field of work as required.
