2. Welcome to the Learning Ladder Family Daycare
As you walk through the front gate you are also entering what we call super highway.
The childrens cars, trucks , bikes and tractors, are all parked in their own numbered
parking spots.
6. In the Exploration Station you can plant and
grow veggies, roll the wooden dice and
move the markers on the abacus, play tic
tack toe with rocks in the little hut, build
with sticks, stones and boards, draw on the
chalk board, use the scale to weigh items,
and build a creations with PVC pipes and
pour water through it to see which end the
water comes out of.
7. Come Inside
Daycare Entrance
As the parents enter, all my
certificates and license are
hanging on the wall.
Children hang their
belonging in the cubbies.
The doorway to the right
goes into the daycare room
and the steps go upstairs to
the house.
8. Daycare Room
This is my main daycare
area that we do all of
our playing and
learning in. The kids
also use the entrance
way by the cubbies to
play in as well.
9. Office/Sensory Room
This is a room right off from the
main playroom. I use this for my
office and also the kids use this
room as well, for their sensory
table, play dough table and art
center.
10. Extra Storage/Tornado Shelter
This is a storage room off from my main daycare play room. It stores my extra toys, theme boxes,
dramatic play dress up clothes, our cots that we use for naps, along with our bedding for the cots.
We also use this room as our tornado shelter and do monthly practice drills.
11. Upstairs
This is the main part of
the upstairs. We go
upstairs for our meals.
The kitchen and living
room are all open and
together, so when I am
making meals, the kids
are in the living room
playing.
12. Other areas of the house
The spare room is where the baby sleeps in the pack
n play and also the changing table.
