Our Lady appeared to three high school students in Kibeho, Rwanda between 1981 and 1982, introducing herself as the Mother of the Word. In 1982, she appeared weeping and showed visions of people being killed with machetes and corpses in a river of blood, foretelling the Rwandan genocide of 1994.
