Linguistic objective: (S) Responding to messages and dialogues in short simple
sentences in a range of context.
Pre Activity:
Teacher hands out a list o vocabulary related to tourist attractions offered by Costa
Rican communities, students read aloud the vocabulary and the teacher explains the
meanings and some grammatical structures.
While Activity: Hot Bell.
Group is divided into three teams. They watch a video called ¡°Costa Rica: A little
piece of paradise¡± two times. Teacher puts a bell in a specific place. Teachers ask
some questions and one member of the group runs faster to move the bell and
answer the question orally. The group that has more questions correctly is the
winner.
Post Activity: In groups, students elaborate a poster in which they describe a
tourist attraction offered by Costa Rican communities. They go to the front and talk
about their tourist attraction.
