Objectives:
Promote collaborative work between teachers and students with the
creation of a wiki in which information will be generated and
exchanged by them.
Materials
needed: Computer and Internet connection
Specific Objective and Content Learning methods and Timing
1. Getting started with Wikispaces.
Creation of a teacher¡¯s account in
Wikispaces.
2. Ask the students to think about a topic
which can be develop in a collaborative
work in order to create a thematic wiki.
3. Work on the visual aspect of our
Wikispaces. Editing pages and toolbars
with the Wikispaces editor.
4. Publish related activities to the
selected topic in order to work correctly
in the creation and edition of pages.
Insert images, videos, widgets, codes,
etc.
5. Monitoring wiki content. Notifications
and logs.
1. Warm-up activity with students in order
to ask and diagnose the prior knowledge
about the topic (10 minutes).
2. Presentation of the objective of the
session by the tutor (10 minutes).
3. Theoretical and practical presentation
of the content of the session. The tutor
introduces the management of the web
tool using that tool and explaining the
process step by step (30 minutes).
4. Explore new applications of that web
tool on an educational aspect by the
creation of content (10 minuttes).
5. Sharing the final conclusions and ideas
about the central topic everybody
together (10 minutes).
