app on your mobile.

without platform tickets .
• An offence under railway act.
• Caught without a platform
ticket then minimum of 250
rupees penalty is imposed.
• No refund is made for platform
ticket cancellation.
• Platform ticket provided an
authority to visit the platforms
only. this ticket doesn’t allow
carriage.
Penalty or Fine…?

Visiting Indian railway platform without a ticket is an offence one can be penalized
if caught without a ticket on platform. So if you are going to see off your loved one
at station or going to pick them up, please ensure to buy a platform ticket before
