The document discusses a pilot project conducted by Plugwise to analyze energy consumption in an office building. Plugwise devices were installed on 50 plugs in the office to measure electricity usage, costs, and carbon emissions over time. The results showed that 49.7% of electricity was used during office hours while 50.3% was used when nobody was in the office at night. Introducing a schedule to turn power on at 7am and off at 6pm could save over 500 kWh of energy usage and reduce costs by over EUR800 per year.

So in short, what plugwise gives: Detailed information about amount of electricity used for: Computers, printers, laptops, etc Lights Fridge, coffee machine, etc. Van, air control, etc. Control over: turning electricity on and off at certain times. Constant possibility to override this with touch screen. More comfort & fun Example: touch screen and not having to turn off while leaving the building creative possibilities: like electricity competition with other departments Financially: Less costs, in 3 years breakeven. Environmentally: Less CO2 emission cleaner environment. Creates awareness in the office.
