There are approximately 54 countries located in Africa. The number of African countries can fluctuate over time due to factors like independence movements, border changes, and the formation of new political entities. Students will learn the locations of African countries by drawing a blank map from memory and then labeling an official political map of the continent, coloring each nation according to a key. Next week, they will take a quiz to test their knowledge of African geography.

DIRECTIONS: 1.) Label each country write out the entire name of each country. 2.) Color each country follow directions on the map. Helpful Hints: Only use colored pencils Color lightly Color in one direction Neatness counts!
