Poltergeist Productions has scheduled filming their horror trailer in mid-November to early December at twilight at Portchester Castle. They chose this location and time of day to capture the darkening atmosphere as events unfold in the trailer. Portchester Castle was selected as it has ghostly legends and a creepy setting at night, with nearby wooded areas adding to the horror effect. The trailer stars Anna as the vengeful spirit Charlotte White who drowned in the castle moat while trying to save her baby, and follows her haunting of three film students researching Charlotte for a college project.
2. When we are going to film the
trailer:
• We have chosen to film our trailer in the early
stages of evening/twilight.
• The reason we have chosen to shoot the trailer at
this time of day, is because we want the effect of
the day gradually getting darker like the events
in the trailer do.
• We have chosen to start filming our trailer in
mid November/ early December.
4. Why we are filming here:
• We have chosen to shoot the trailer at Portchester Castle,
as there are many myths linked to the castle and at night
the castle is quite an eerie location to film a horror
trailer.
• The other reason we have chosen to film the trailer here,
is because there are many different secluded wooded
areas around the castle that we want to use in the trailer
to give the horror effect.
5. Who is in our trailer?:
• Anna: Anna is playing our main character ‘Charlotte
White’. Charlotte, is a young spirit woman from
Victorian times that lost her life from drowning in the
moat around Portchester castle trying to save her baby.
Ever since her baby’s death, Charlotte continuously
haunts the castle looking for revenge.
• Grace, Olivia and Ellen: The three girls are all
film studies students that are looking to learn about
Charlotte for a college project to film a documentary
based on her life.
