The advertising agency TO-Pomidor created their first project - a video protest for young people about finding jobs and making their voices heard. Their strategy to deal with the "War of Fakes" on the internet was to create their own fake profile, John D., who shares information about interesting places in Minsk. Over 2500 people now communicate with John D. on social media and have discovered new places through his recommendations.

Adds agency TO-Pomidor is a little bit more, than
just business. Its a team of young and creative
people, who want to make this world a little bit
better.
We are open for everyone as we try to engage in our
projects as many people, as possible.
3. WHAT DO WE DO
We are in constant search of new, creative ways of
promotion. Everything we do is closely connected
with phycology and engagement.
We want to engage young people in different
projects, thats why we often do non- commercial
things.
4. OUR FIRST WORK
Our first project was video-protest for young people.
When you are young it is difficult to find a job and make
other people listen to you. Thats why the one wants to
throw tomato to the employees face sometimes. That
what we did! We threw tomato to all our problems.
6. WAR OF FAKES
Advertisement on the Internet is better call War of
Fakes. Because traditional banners dont work
anymore (at least they are not as good, as were some
years before).
Personally I have about 10 followers like Mary Nails,
Minsk Techno, Dresses Dresses, etc.
FAKES!
7. WIN THE WAR?
Fakes are around us, and not all of them are so
obvious. And you know whatIts impossible to
win this war. I mean, we all are not protected from
communication with fakes.
But is that so bad? Its not always annoying, in can
be useful!
8. OUR STRATEGY
If you cant win the war, than head it! That is our
strategy. We created our own fake John D. Hes from
Australia, he likes to draw (hes a designer), travel and
party!
We wanted our fake to be useful and we hope he is.
Under his name we tell people about different interesting
places in Minsk (and sometimes in some other cities).
9. THEY WANT TO SPEAK
People do want to communicate with John, they ask him
about interesting places, streets, pubs , they are
interested, where he was yesterday, etc.
The thing is, that some of them know, that John is a
fake, but still they are active in communicating with him.
10. GO!
Start of Johns project was in December and since
then more that 2500 people want to communicate
with him in different social network.
And its such a pleasure to hear Thank you, when
people discover something new with our help.
