Worlds largest home improvement retailer with more than 2200 retail stores worldwide.
National Director, Capital Project Execution & New Store Merchandising (2009-2012)
Responsible for all large-scale capital re-investment projects, new store openings; merchandising, operational training and
execution in the United States, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Managed large internal and external capital
construction teams and provided oversight for all new executive strategic planning initiatives that propelled expanding market
share in existing and new categories, driving top-line growth, bottom-line growth and capital efficiency. Led National Capital
Execution Team, and New Store Merchandising team:
Directed $1B in capital re-investment projects, merchandising presentation strategies and new store merchandising for
the U.S., Puerto Rico and Guam.
Responsible to the Executive Leadership Team for execution of all New Stores within the United States including Puerto
Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Directed $150M annual purchases for new store merchandising.
Consolidated Labor and Construction teams for maximum efficiency, bringing 40% savings back to the bottom line.

Led New Store Merchandising, Capital Store Merchandising & New Concept / Special Initiatives Execution:
Directed $100M annual investment in capital re-investment projects, merchandising presentation strategies and new
concept development for enterprise.
Responsible to the Executive Leadership Team for execution of all New Stores within Northern Division. Directed $130M
annual purchases, controlling clearance dollars and opening new U.S. market.
Led execution of the first of the largest Home Depot store concepts. A new retail format (annual sales of $90M) with focus
on penetration in large scale super format, The Home Depot SuperStore.
Managed business pro formas, P&Ls and operations for all divisional capital re-investment projects; directly led the
execution of proof-of-concepts and new formats until maturity allows transition to Core HD Retail operating divisions.
Targeted and facilitated low volume store Re-SKU, lowering store inventory while increasing sales.
Targeted and executed high volume stores; deep dive isolating and deleting low performing items while concentrating
on high velocity SKU improvement in GMROI.
Product Merchant, Store Merchandising (2002-2005)
Co-led innovation process, led field implementation and management of over $1B in capital spending for merchandising store
modernization investment initiatives. Reset merchandising layout and shopping experience in 1,540 existing stores with
DesignPlace initiative, including the addition of the corporate growth category (major appliances), new kitchen, flooring and
d辿cor showrooms in 18 months the most significant merchandising capital investment in company history.
Designed original and next-generation major appliance concepts increasing revenue over 160% from less than $750k per
store to over $2M per store, representing 11% total market share (#3 appliance retailer in US).
Co-developed next-generation hardware, flooring, fashion bath, lighting, and d辿cor prototypes to align merchandising
experience with customer expectations, in all cases growing double-digit comp sales with significant IRR%; all initiatives
were installed into existing stores and deployed in all new store openings.
Innovated first-ever corporate patent for EasyBake modular kitchen showroom, reducing expensive, invasive 3 month
remodel critical path to one week, eliminating disruption and collateral category damage in special order kitchen,
appliance, fashion bath sales. Winner of 2003 Corporate Innovation Award.
Co-developed process for executing large-scale capital re-investment projects in a live environment: Cross Category
Reset Process.
Led development, field management and execution of every merchandise initiative for four consecutive years driving
incremental sales of $6B.
Product Merchant, Appliances (1999-2002)
Co-developed major appliance business strategy from zero category participation in 1997, to over $4B in revenue and 10.8%
industry market share by 2006.
Led cross-functional team of associates from HD functional departments, GE Appliances and Whirlpool Corporation to
develop new supply chain innovation and first-ever web-based home delivery management system.
Led execution effort for appliances to all U.S. stores in the first full year, which drove $500M of net new sales.
Co-developed web-based Depot Direct computer ordering system which revolutionized appliance distribution for the
industry allowing Home Depot to partner with manufacturers to deliver appliances direct to consumers - eliminating
handling expense, improving gross margin performance, increasing turnover, and Gross Margin Return On Investment-
unmatched in the industry today. This web-based system won 4 major I.T. awards and is still used today.
Managed the relationship and subsequent introduction of the Maytag Corporation to The Home Depot. Built and
executed assortment model for Maytag. Deployed to 900 stores in a 45 day window which provided for $100M of net new
sales in the first year for Maytag and Home Depot.
Managed cross-functional teams of associates from Maytag and GE Appliances to develop an enhanced supply chain
model with dual delivery capabilities and select same-day delivery model.
Managed multi-vendor cross-functional team to develop a single point to call Call Center managed by GE.
Managed the field execution of largest appliance truckload events in 1,000 stores selling 70,000 appliance units
generating over $40M in sales in a single weekend. This continued for three years in a row.

Designed Category Operations Plan, Standard Operating Procedures, Labor Model, Staffing and Training Plans for roll
out of new appliance initiative.
Served as company voice for Appliance Execution and Sales internal Home Depot Television (HDTV) broadcast to the
enterprise live with subsequent tapes and re-broadcast.
Personally managed the execution of every appliance platform in 2000 stores over the past 12 years.
Senior Logistics Manager (1995-1999)
National Freight Consolidation study and consulting for process improvement; example projects included:
Developed Landed Cost logistics model, which realized a first year savings of $8M in transportation cost.
Developed operating procedures for startup freight consolidation programs in areas of operations, finance and administrative
management. Improved transportation efficiency in Southeast US operations; subsequently rolled out nationwide.
Managed distribution logistics; inbound / outbound freight models and cost-benefit analysis.
Managed all Hurricane and Disaster relief transportation for 5 years during some of the heaviest weather related years
(hurricanes, floods, tornados and ice storms). Responsible for average spend of $1M weekly transportation cost during
each event.
Southeast Division Logistics Manager (1995-1995)
Managed transportation for both Prepaid (Vendor Paid) and HD paid (collect), inbound and outbound for Home Depot stores
in the Southeast Division (450 stores).
Annual freight budget of $250M.
Co-developed and executed LTL bid process, saving enterprise $90M in the first year.
Co-developed and implemented Less-Than-Truckload and Truckload Core Carrier delivery process for enterprise. Saved
enterprise $2M in reduced freight cost by increasing volume of fewer carriers.
Developed import logistics model for import sheathing goods from South America.
Manager of Transportation Services (1992-1994)
Managed transportation budget of $250M for both Prepaid (Vendor Paid) and HD paid (collect), inbound and outbound for
Home Depot stores in the Southeast Division (450 stores).
Led cross-functional team transitioning from third party broker-truckload management to in-house management with 15

Co-developed first ever Transportation System helping to automate transportation analysis. Created RFP documents and
