The adoption of design thinking has been widely debated inside the design and business community, but very few groups had approached the process with a human-centric approach that is able to consider both cognitive and social psychological requirements.
This session addresses the issue of defining an empirical framework and a strategy, supported by psychology findings and corroborated by direct experiences, that is able to catalyze and measure the adoption of design thinking emphasizing the human and organizational implications that a change of this magnitude implies.
We will also argue that promoting and supporting organizational change is an adaptive challenge that requires counter-intuitive timings in order to support both designers, and non-designers' minds through an inevitable state of disequilibrium.

The speaker discusses how he works, prototyping in the same code as software engineers. He notes some challenges like production code being harder than expected, prototypes feeling too real if done in code, and dealing with both high-level strategy and detailed execution. He emphasizes setting expectations, boundaries, and communication to address these challenges.

A sketch was created combining trends and the Feiss style. CAD software was used to render 3D models. The design was 3D printed and photographed. Finishes were added in Photoshop, including brushed nickel, iridescent glass, and wave-inspired glass globes. The process provided insight into product design careers.
At the beginning of any new design project, the excitement is contagious. Being in the creative field, each team and each team member has countless ideas and different visions for the project. For any creative branding agency to be able to come up with an accurate solution, Design Process is a must.
Each project, especially large-scale projects with a bigger number of deliverables must have a pre-decided methodology which is to be followed.

After enjoying more than a decade of relative stability in designing for the 'desktop' web, smartphones had to come along and throw a wrench in the works. It seemed that in an instant, everything changed and nothing was certain any more. The truth is, though, nothing was ever certain.
One of the webs major strengths is its ability to adapt, to travel anywhere and everywhere in service of its users. All those years we were the ones restraining it with our desire to create a single monolithic experience. But experience is not monolithic. Every person is different, and we all bring our unique perspectives, experiences, and capabilities to the table. A one-size-fits-all approach rarely fits anyone well. When we embrace that, our designs, products, and experiences will be all the better for it.

Go_Innovation is a special residency for social innovator held by Netural Coop in Gorizia, European Capital of Culture 2025.
L炭dica did叩ctica / Play to Connect is a provocation to think outside the box, a methodology to board uncomfortable topics in a respectful and joyful manner and an excuse to discuss unconventional solutions to contemporary challenges, where play is seen as an attitude and game design as a metaphor of creativity by which to imagine, experiment and learn about our surroundings.
Casa Netural residency in Gorizia offered Diego an opportunity to test the ideas that he has been developing over the past years and to enrich them by looking at them from a different and complementary perspective. In other words to put theory into practice.
Along the 4 weeks that he lived in Gorizia he realized how mature and innovative his own understanding of the ludic phenomenon, as most people he connected with, found the value of his research, but what was amazing for him is how much his project was fed back from completely different and complementary perspectives.
Along these days he crafter four game ideas, with different levels of complexity and currently in different stages of development. These are described in the final report.

Industrial Designer by CIDI UNAM and Master in Science of Design for Interaction by TU Delft, Diego ALatorre is currently doing a PhD in Contemporary Studies at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of Coimbra University.
His research explores the role of games in education: from a multimodal literacy perspective, he explores the creative process of writers, scientists, designers, artists, teachers and reflective players to learn how to critically read the world and creatively write.
