The main image may also contain connotations,
for example this poster uses a blood covered
knife with a Swas sticker through it, which
connotes that whoever is holding the knife is
trying to take on the German army, or that they
have a reason to want to kill the Nazis

The main image gives a small
amount away about the story
line but not so much that you
dont need to see the film to
find out what happens. Tag lines are used to help people
                                                     remember the film. This film
                                                     however is being slightly sarcastic
when it refers to Nazi occupied
France in a fairy tale style by using
the classic line once upon a time.

Title is clearly located so that
a passer by can easily identify
the film title and look into in
some more. Minor details such as date and publishers
are identifiable at the bottom of the
poster. Often made to look slightly
opaque so not to take attention away
                                                 from the film itself
